How to Create the Perfect Brows at Home

Perfect brows at home

Do you dream of beautiful, natural and fuller looking brows? Do you want to add more shape and definition to your brows after years of over plucking?

Here Kintija Belska, co-founder of Everlasting Brows, shares her top tips on how to create the perfect brows at home.

Step 1 – Condition, Condition, Condition for Perfect Brows

Condition your brows on a daily basis for healthy skin and brow hair growth. Brow dandruff, and flaky skin are becoming increasingly common, however this can easily be avoided with a good daily brow care regime. Moisturise your brow area just like you would rest of your face.

Step Two – Don’t forget to use a Spoolie

This is probably one of the simplest and most effective eyebrow grooming tips out there, which often gets overlooked! Every morning give your brows a brush with a Spoolie, it helps to shape your brows into place and only takes a few seconds! Even if you have no time to apply make-up in the morning, a quick brush with a Spoolie will make all the difference!

Step Three – Say goodbye to stray hairs

Nothing is worse than when a stray hair is out of shape and it is ruining your whole make up look. Keep a good pair of tweezers nearby, such as the Elleebana Ellee-Brow Tweezers, RRP £13.75 from www.beautyrules.co.uk that have a precise grip to get rid of any unwanted hairs in between your professional eyebrow grooming service. Tweeze only when it is absolutely essential. For eyebrow styling visit a salon to ensure your brows compliment your face and remain in their best form. Remember, although eyebrow styles change throughout the years, one thing is for sure, full eyebrows are always in fashion!

Step Four – Less is More!

If you want to give your brows that perfect shape and colour, I recommend using either a light eyebrow powder or pencil, such as Everlasting Brows WOW Brow Pencil, £7.95 from  www.everlastingbrows.com to achieve this look. One of the most valuable things I have learned when using an eyebrow pencil is that less is more. With an eyebrow pencil you can achieve soft lines in your brows, that resemble real hair. Always support your hand on your face and glide the pencil lightly over the brows, make sure you focus on sparse areas too. I cannot stress this enough; you really have got to have a light hand on application, as occasionally one or two strokes can end up being slightly darker than intended. Match the eyebrow pencil colour to your brow hair tone, as this will help you to achieve the most seamless and natural look.

Step Five – Conceal and Highlight

Do not underestimate the power of brow concealer and highlighter, this really can make all the difference! Use over the brow bone to accentuate and highlight the brow area, it instantly lifts your brows and opens up the eye area to make you look more awake. Blend gently with finger, brush or q-tip. One that can be used as a corrector, concealer and highlighter is perfect for the summer season, as it creates natural looking results and is ideal for travelling too, as it does not need to go into your liquids bag.

Step Six – Hold your brows in place

No look is complete without setting your brows. Brows that grow downwards, are unruly, or just messy will not reach their full potential without something holding them in place. Personally, I prefer clear eyebrow products that do not add shine or colour. Tinted products can make the brows look too harsh. My go to product is a brow wax which provides exceptional hold for even the most stubborn brow hairs, while also giving your brows the ‘laminated look’ too for up to 24 hours!
