Unwind At The Marriott Breadsall Priory

Stepping into The Marriott Breadsall Priory is like stepping back in time. Beautiful landscapes, grand features and a large hotel with gorgeous décor all welcome you at the entrance.

From the moment you arrive, the staff are approachable, friendly and helpful. Being a Marriott, the hotel itself is of the high standard that you would expect. The facilities are top notch, we popped into the spa for a relaxing afternoon and were treated like kings. You can take your pick of manicures, pedicures, facials, you name it and the Marriott Breadsall is on hand to provide it.

The location is fantastic, if you’re a thrill seeker you are only a short distance from Alton Towers, and if you are more a fan of the great outdoors then the Peak District is on your doorstep with a whole wealth of breathtaking scenery to admire.

On arrival we were led to our luxurious, first class room. And after we had settled in we headed down to enjoy some of the hotel facilities. The Marriott Breadsall has it all if you’re looking for rest and relaxation in a laid-back atmosphere with five star service. The grounds are maintained to an impeccable standard, there’s a heated pool, a bubbling Jacuzzi, and excellent in-house restaurant.

The Priory restaurant has the sort of menu that you would expect from a Marriott Hotel. Think fine dining with grand settings, and delectable food. We enjoyed a delicious steak and some first class hake, followed by a moreish chocolate brownie and a chocolate delice with a peanut and banana crumble. All the food was divine and left us feeling seriously satisfied but not stuffed!

Marriot Hotel Breadsall Afternoon Tea EditedThere are also alternative dining options onsite if, after your first day of fine dining, you fancy a more relaxed and informal dining experience. The Tempo bar has a range of more informal modern dishes and bar food including staples such as burgers, steaks and fish and chips.

On our second day at the Marriott Breadsall we enjoyed the fantastic gym facilities, and very much enjoyed taking afternoon tea in the sunshine, overlooking the grand grounds.

The spa was one of our highlights, on our second day we had manicures and pedicures, massages and spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying champagne in the relaxation room. It was a real treat and a break away from our often busy and hectic lifestyles.

If you are visiting the Marriott Breadsall, I would certainly recommend booking in for two nights as there’s plenty on site to keep you busy, and also there’s plenty around the Breadsall area if you fancy venturing out. It’s a lovely weekend break, with plenty of scenery to take your breath away.
