1. Four Weddings and a Funeral

St. Michael's Church, Betchworth, Surrey Four Weddings and a Funeral was filmed in and around the home counties and in parts of Scotland. Visit one of the villages, such as Betchworth in Surrey, for a restful weekend away. Betchworth is a picturesque village on the bank of the River Mole, which contains the ruins of a castle and a beautiful church – the setting for the first wedding in the film.

2. Bridget Jones’ Diary

Fancy a mini-break just like Bridget and Daniel out in a countryside retreat? The beautiful estate in the film is Stoke Park in Buckinghamshire. The Stoke Park grounds are spread over 300 acres of parkland, lakes, monuments and a golf course. The estate predates the Domesday Book of 1086.

3. Shakespeare in Love

Also, explore the vast, manicured gardens, dating back to the 17th Century, which cover 42 acres.

4. The Holiday

Shere is located just outside Guildford and is considered a quintessentially English village, complete with a tea house, pubs and a church dating back to the Norman era. Shere is surrounded by stunning scenery, making this a great village to relax in after a hearty country walk.

5. Pride and Prejudice

If you fell in love with the village of Meryton, then head to Lacock in Wiltshire to enjoy the quaint English village vibe for yourself.
