Charlie Hedges Guide To The Best Nights In Ibiza
Opening weekend in Ibiza kicks off tonight in its usual spectacular style. No matter how many times you have been or how old you are, there is something for everyone but if you haven’t been for a while, you might want the low down on the top places to hang out and party on the island.
Kiss FM breakfast show presenter and DJ Charlie Hedges is one of the most listened-to voices in the country broadcasting to over 4.4 million people every week on the breakfast show with co-presenters Rickie and Melvin. Charlie has worked in Ibiza, Spain (Mallorca Rocks), Amsterdam, Dubai, Egypt and Australia. She has DJ’d at clubs (including Space), festivals (including wireless) so is perfectly placed to ensure you are in the know with the best party spots.
Here is Charlie’s guide to the best nights out each and every day:
Monday – F**k Me I’m Famous at Ushuaia Beach Hotel – This venue is amazingggg!!! Even if you’re not staying at the hotel I definitely recommend you get to at least one gig there, it’s so nice being there early evening and watching the sun go down and the light show take over the hotel, David Guetta will be amazing there too!
Tuesday – Carl Cox – The Party unites at SPACE it’s the only place to be on a Tuesday, Carl Cox absolutely smashes Space to pieces oh and I’m playing there September 10th with Carl and Fatboy Slim. (plus I’m playing Space opening Sunday 26th May)
Wednesday – It’s all about Departures at Ushuaia for me again, the lighting system in this place is just amazing, Swedish House Mafia were there last year, now only two of the Swedes are there this year playing alternative weeks.
Thursday – Cream Amnesia – Second to Space it’s one of my favourite clubs in the entire world, the DJ booth is ridiculously good, it’s just a mass army of people who enjoy Ibiza more than anywhere in the world, can’t beat it! And I’m playing there August 20th (which is a Tuesday actually, so come to my night and then stick to Thursday’s after that)
Friday – Eden – It’s a wicked club, one of the very first clubs I actually went to when I first visited Ibiza, plus I’m playing there the following dates; 12th July, 16th August, 27th September.
Also Sankeys is one of my new fav clubs, it’s really underground, stays true to Ibiza format musically and is a great venue for an after party
Saturday – Ibiza Rocks, amazing pool parties, wicked live acts and even better their sister Rocks in Majorca which I’m playing at on August 25.
In the evening Zoo Project! The party is in an old Zoo so you get to dress up as an animal. It’s the most bizarre experience but one of my fave things about Ibiza!
Sunday – is all about Bora Bora and staying there for as long as you can, the beach turns into a party from midday! It’s a nice way to wind down a week’s holiday or a nice start to one if you’ve just turned up!
