With the wedding season in full-swing, as well as summer events such as tennis, polo, the racing and other soirees, your formal dress reserves can take a battering, particularly if the same people are attending a number of the events. It is hard to justify buying a new designer outfit for every event in the season but that doesn’t mean that you have to forgo a new look each time. It is time to get smart as the ‘what to wear?’ dilemma has been solved by the new website Chic by Choice that rents high fashion luxury dresses for a fraction of their retail price to fashion-lovers across Europe.
Chic by Choice enables women to hire dresses – many of which retail for upwards of a thousand pounds – for a fraction of their retail price. Sourced from top boutiques and department stores across the world, Chic by Choice’s catalogue features dresses from some of the world’s most desirable designer brands including Dior, Valentino, Jenny Packham, Elie Saab, Dolce & Gabbana, Lanvin, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Etro and Peter Pilotto.
“Most women simply can’t afford to own all this season’s most fabulous designer dresses,” says Chic by Choice founder Filipa Neto. “Chic by Choice enables women to dress differently, in the latest fashions, at every wedding, cocktail party and special occasion this summer.”
Chic by Choice dress rentals start at £50 for a four day rental and will dispatch two different sizes of the same dress to ensure the recipient gets a perfect fit. Once worn, they will collect the dresses from the same address, before dry cleaning the garments in preparation for the next customer.
Currently Chic by Choice offers a collection of 150 dresses – a number which will grow to more than 600 within the next six months.
