Can Crystals Help With New Year’s Resolutions?

Moldavite - can crystals help you keep your new year's resolutions asks Belle About Town

As we say goodbye to 2021 (is anyone really going to miss it?!) it is time to focus on making the most of 2022, and what better way to get it off to a good start than with New Year’s resolutions?

Unfortunately only around a quarter of people manage to stick to their goals, so we need all the help we can get – and crystal fans claim they can do the trick.

These pretty – and reportedly powerful – rocks really came into their own last year, and the number of people who believe in the positive and healing energy, is on a steady upward climb.

So can they help us to make our resolutions a reality? Belle About Town asked crystal healer Laura Konst, of Tali & Loz, for the low down…

How exactly can crystals help with New Year’s resolutions?

Thanks to their formation, crystals all have different types of energy vibration. They store and amplify this energy, and when used correctly, it can have an impact on the lives of their owner.

Labradorite is known as the stone of transformation & change

Whether your New Year’s resolution is to exercise more, quit smoking, or take part in dry January, crystals can be a powerful tool to help support you with your aims.

Planning, preparing and working towards your goals, is effectively setting your intentions for the coming weeks, months or potentially your whole life ahead. If you get crystals involved, you need to do what is called ‘programming’, which basically means setting the crystal up to help manifest these thoughts and dreams into a reality.

How do you programme your crystals?

The first thing is to have a clear idea of how it is you want this crystal to help you. Try to create a picture in your mind that sums up your desires, and focus on that, while holding the crystal in your hand.

You can also write down your intentions or say them out loud if you prefer.

Try to think, write, and visualise in the present tense, and focus on the positives, while avoiding the negatives. For example rather than thinking ‘I hate my spare tyre, I’m going to have to drag my sorry self down the gym’, think ‘I am able to strengthen my body’.

This mantra holds the power to take you from ‘wishing’ to ‘manifesting’.

Some examples of intentions for crystals might be:

  • I will live a healthy lifestyle
  • I have the power to live an alcohol / smoke-free life
  • I have the ability and the resources to succeed in my career
  • I take care of myself and practise self-care
  • I embrace happiness in my life and seek to get rid of fears and anxiety
  • I am open to new love and experiences
  • I will be financially independent and achieve my career goals
