Summer Nights At Hip New Venue Camden Courtyard

Camden Courtyard

Decent outdoor spaces in the heart of London for a summer drink and catch up are frustratingly few and far between.

But Camden Courtyard in erm, yep Camden, is stepping forward as a decent option in this year’s line-up.

Spacious grassy garden with river views it ain’t, but there is plenty on offer in this brand new open-air venue that launched this month to a fanfare of Pimms and pizza.

The business runs alongside the historic Electric Ballroom, in a long thin courtyard near the high street, brought alive with picnic tables, a pop-up bar, games and snack food.

Given the Electric Ballroom has played host to everyone from Prince and Skrillex, to the Ramones and Kendrick Lamar, this new watering hole has plenty to live up to, but owner Kate Fuller is confident, and says: “For the best part of a century, Electric Ballroom has been a venue which showcases the most exciting of musical movements and Camden Courtyard is the next step in our story. The venue will offer something new for Camden…. We can’t wait to welcome new faces and regulars alike.”

Food is on offer from Pizza & Dumplings – they serve exactly what it says on the tin – and a range of slushy cocktails are touted alongside a large summer drinks menu.

Add in the promises of DJs, bands and live acts throughout the summer months and with a capacity for 300 people, this is sure to become a new post-work drinks haunt for the cool crowd. Plus never fear – there is a covering if the ever-constant rain clouds of summer 2024 do appear…
