Show-stopping Indian Meals in the Heart of Theatreland

Farzi Cafe boasts stylish decor

Theatre lovers rejoice! Newly-opened Indian restaurant Farzi Café offers a pre-theatre menu as well as an exciting a la carte, and we’re applauding the variety and flavours.

Welcoming staff at Farzi Cafe

You can’t help but be wowed by the décor as soon as you step foot into this swish London restaurant. The dimly-lit venue is decked out with stylish furniture including green and mustard chairs and booths, stunning art deco-inspired lighting, botanical art work and a glitzy gold bar. Best of all, diners are greeted by welcoming staff also add to the friendly atmosphere. That is down to the fact that they are always on hand to recommend popular dishes and bend over backwards to accommodate dietary needs.

If you’re in search of traditional Indian cuisine, this is not the place for you. Farzi Café takes classic India food and adds an avant-gard twist. The Chicken Tikka Masala, £14, is dished up with a cheesy cornish cruncher naan. It has all the flavours of a spicy Indian dish, but with a modern funky twist.

Wagyu Seekh Kebab

The Wagyu Seekh Kebab, £17, served with kachumber salad has all the delicious flavouring of a traditional seekh kebab, but being wagyu beef it boasts a rich, melt-in-your-mouth quality.

The restaurant pushes the boundaries and you’ll find items that you wouldn’t normally see on the menu at a regular Indian restaurant, such as Lobster and Mussels Moilee, £22, served with gunpowder mash. The flavours are mild but rich and the seafood is cooked to perfection.

To get a wider taste of the menu enjoy some’nano plates’ as starters. The Chicken Tikka, £9, boasts super soft meat. But if you want to tickle your taste buds with a unique take on Indian meats then opt for the Braised Lamp Chops, £15, which comes with the most delicious  maple and fennel glaze. The restaurant also has a kids menu, which includes a mix of curries, grilled chicken and burgers.

The Farzi fusion also spills  into its dessert menu, which includes a Rasmalai marshmallow, £7, and Sheer korma, £7, which is served with a pistachio and date gel.
