Last Days Of Shoreditch Riviera Brings Summer To London
Where in London could you find everything that is ‘summer fun’ under one roof? I’m talking sand, deck chairs, bars, pop up restaurants and street food, DJs and even a karaoke room. And did I mention an adult-size slide with a ball pit? Yes, hipster Shoreditch has done it again with the ‘Last Days of Shoreditch Riviera’!
My friend and I recently bagged tickets to attend the launch of the arrival of ‘Last Days of Shoreditch Riviera’ in this trendy part of London, and it was certainly a night to remember! Just a short walk from the Old Street roundabout, a walkway lined with tree bark and wood chips led us into a space that was a far cry from the busy road we just left behind.
As if by magic, we found ourselves in what felt like a mini music festival. Nestled amongst busy buildings, the area was decked out with whitewashed wood, sand, deck chairs and pub tables with benches. Only when we looked up and saw London’s skyline, were we reminded where we were.
Not to spoil the experience we kept our heads down, ordered a drink and enjoyed the lively atmosphere. The sun was setting down and the DJ was working her magic, it was a perfect May evening.
There were many delights on offer, including burgers from ‘Nanny Bills’ and a bespoke avocado bar and fresh pasta from ‘Belli Freschi’. Drink-wise, there was a dedicated Pimms bar, as well as other bars serving everything from beer to cocktails.
There are many events planned for the upcoming months, DJs and special guests, and even immersive game experiences. And if you’re after a private party room, look no further. You can choose from themed rooms such as Bowie Bauhaus and Purple Rain, as well as Lucky Voice karaoke room to sign your way through the summer nights.
With plenty of drinking and eating spots, both inside and out, ample seating, and live DJs, ‘Last Days of Shoreditch Riviera’ is guaranteed to bring all the summer fun to Londoners this year.
‘Last Days of Shoreditch Riviera’ opens today (Friday 9 June) and runs until Saturday 5 August. The opening times on Thursdays are from 5pm until 11.30m; Fridays from 5pm until midnight and Saturdays from 6pm until midnight. Entry is free on Thursdays and Fridays; Saturday prices vary.
