The ceiling of the iconic West End venue is draped in illuminated glitter balls and immediately sets the scene for a night of indulgence, debauchery and glamour.

Our fabulous host led us through a night of jaw dropping circus, burlesque and entertainment. Resident dance troupe the “54ers” could get the most steadfast coach potato on their feet with their energetic and enthusiastic performances.

With a table right at the edge of the dancefloor Belle had the perfect spot for enjoying the show.

Half disco diva half unicorn. Of course…

We gasped as a gruesomely flexible contortionist defied nature by bending his limbs around each other, and marveled at the magical elegance of a lycra-clad gymnast balancing and bending over a sparkling glitterball centre stage.

We were accosted by mustachioed muscle men, and were serenaded by a dancing unicorn….

Various options to enjoy the night are available, from simply tickets to see the show to feasting and sit down meal options. We went for the three-course meal package for £25 per person which includes waitress service to your table.

Our delightful dedicated waitress Olga explained everything on the menu to us and ensured glasses were topped up if anyone was seen to be flagging. Her energy matched that of the performers and her smile set our night off with a bang.

Hedonism and art collide at Disco54

Sadly only two courses were enjoyed as our doughnut desserts failed to materialise, and then the tables were taken back for the audience dancing to begin. However, the mixture of disco classics and cheesy anthems soon took our mind off our missing puddings and we danced into the night.

Come about 11 o’clock the high energy anthems are quickly replaced with rather moody R&B, so if you’re looking to carry on the cheesefest it might be worth booking a table elsewhere for an onwards party, but if you’re okay with transitioning into a more modern nightclubbing experience Café de Paris stays open until 3am and fills with the coolest crowd in town.

Disco54 is a fantastically indulgent and entertaining cabaret show with unrivaled performances and high octane energy. The shows run every Friday and Saturday night until April 27th and we urge you to catch it before it ends.
