Cîroc Brings The Med To, Er, Battersea

Plans to jet off for a long hot summer of swanning up and down on the Amalfi Coast aboard your luxury yacht? Thought not. Me neither. But if you are on the lookout for the next best thing, then take my hand and allow me to be your tour guide.

Bringing the Med to Battersea

For those of us who will be stuck a bit closer to home this year, you could do an awful lot worse than heading to a super cool and achingly hip new bar just outside the iconic Battersea Power Station, where Cîroc vodka are thoughtfully bringing a taste of Southern Italy to South London.

Cîroc has teamed up with Italian riverside restaurant Fiume to celebrate the launch of their limited-edition flavour, Cîroc Limonata. Together they have created a menu of exclusive new cocktails including the small but perfectly formed Cîroc Luxe Lemon Drop, the marvellously moreish Cîroc Limonata Collins and the wonderfully refreshing Cîroc Limonata Spritz. There were even delicious boozy slushies being served from a super cute and stylish little yellow Cîroc Piaggio van.

Yes, I did sample them all in order that I may bring you, dear reader, this accurate report. Yes, some more than once. And yes, you are most welcome.

And the bar is simply a lovely picture-perfect place to hang out – cocktail in hand – and to dine alfresco while discovering all kinds of yummy new flavours.  The vibrant terrace is lined with lemon trees, and you could almost be forgiven for letting your poor Vitamin D-deprived brain convince you that you might have landed on the sunny shores of the Mediterranean.

So even if you are spending your hols in the UK this year, step away from the hustle and bustle of London to the sunny shores of a Capri-inspired terrace to while away a few leisurely afternoons and long-awaited balmy summer nights this summer. Those warm nights are coming people, have faith!

  • Nadia Cohen

As mum to a pair of cheeky twin boys, Felix and Harry, Nadia is mostly very tired. And sometimes she’s grumpy and very tired, but that doesn’t stop her attempting to have a life beyond sterilising and pureeing, even if that means she has been spotted strolling through the Grazia office with a Cheerio stuck to her bottom, or accessorising her fabulous Vivienne Westwood vintage with a smear of dried porridge. She loves lounging about in the sunshine with a cocktail (those were the days) and hates smug yummy mummy types offering their unwanted opinions on her sons’ snacks, schooling and snot.
