If there’s one way to spend a long and lazy summer evening in London, it’s enjoying botanical cocktails in the decadent Rib Room in Knightsbridge.

The Rib Rooms is the bar and restaurant located within the gorgeous Jumeriah Carlton Tower Hotel. Located in the heart of Knightsbridge on Sloane Street, the Rib Room’s has it all. Relaxed bar areas, a restaurant and private dining rooms, all on the gorgeous backdrop of the Cadogan Place Gardens.

From the moment we arrived, a smiling and helpful maître d greeted us and guided us to their bar. The setting is somewhat of an enchanted paradise, a decadent floral wall and dim lighting set the mood perfectly, making it a relaxed and gorgeous way to spend a summers evening.

The theme was perfect for enjoying the bar new ‘Blooming Brilliant’ pop up bar. The bar has a direct connection with the Cadogan Place Gardens, and guests will experience a floral journey from the moment they arrive.

Michele Caggianese, Manager of The Rib Room Bar & Restaurant said: “Blooming Brilliance creates a casual ambience for enjoying carefree summer evenings in the heart of Knightsbridge – whatever the Great British weather. Our imaginative drinks menu, savoury treats and experiences promise to refresh and reinvigorate, and restore seasonal bloom.”

Botanical herbs, vibrant flowers, and citrus shrubs all add an intoxicating fragrance to the bar. Also if it’s a lovely evening, guests can also enjoy sipping al fresco in The Rib Room outdoor terrace.

The drinks themselves were delicious. The head mixologist has devised a specially crafted menu offering seventeen cocktails with a botanical twist. The drinks are a twist on English classics, my absolute favourite was the delicious Basil Sour, which was a mix of Beluga Vodka, Lemon Juice and Ginger Syrup, complimented with a teaspoon of basil olive oil.

We also enjoyed the Jack and Shrub, which was a horticultural concoction of Gentleman’s Jack Bourbon, Amaro Lucano and strawberry shrub with dashes of lemon and peychaud bitters, sweetened with sugars and served in a decadent copper mug decorated with mint and strawberry. Divine.

The food was also suitably fragrant. We enjoyed the crab, Scottish lobster and and saffron arancini, with the ceviche salmon, wild sea bass, yellow fin Tuna and a scallop with lime and basil. Finally the tasting board of Trealy Farm charcuterie with rosemary focaccia was incredibly flavoursome.

A true summer gem, blooming brilliance is the perfect way to enjoy a carefree summer evening. The staff are faultless and endlessly welcoming, you’ll be treated like royalty from the moment you arrive. Come with friends and a healthy appetite.

Blooming Brilliance runs until 2nd August.
