Top hat and tails

I admit this belle is a bit obsessed with the Royal Wedding and has contributed to the British economy by purchasing a number of goodies for the big day. I’m sure all the Belles out there are putting a lot of effort into making the day special as well and there is a flurry of activity across London but we certainly shouldn’t forget to include our best buddies.

With the dress, the cake and the rings foremost in everyone’s minds it’s nice to think that the Royal corgis are in the thick of it.

Pet-orabilia bonanza

Each day when I walk through one of London’s busiest stations I am bombarded by wedding memorabilia. But what about our four-legged friends? How can they participate in this city-wide obsession?

A quick search finds a number of items to help our pooches celebrate in style. Obviously we Belle’s want to look our very best on the 29th and since most of us will be celebrating outside hopefully lots of dogs can party alongside us.

Whether it’s a Royal dog bowl or head to tail patriotic outfit make sure your favourite friend doesn’t miss out.

Let’s hope the corgis have planned ahead!

Wagging of the year

We may think that Kate and Wills’ wedding will be the biggest and best of the year but Lola and Mugly may have stolen their thunder with the most extravagant wedding ever – well for dogs that is!

Worried that Lola was lonely her mum set out to find her the perfect match and made sure she felt like a princess on her special day. Not only were these mini pooches pampered on their wedding day with treats and a chill out area but their owners spent a fortune on outfits, decorations and food for the two-legged guests.

Puss in boots

Hats rather than boots will play a big part on wedding day with the famous milliner Philip Treacy and his team working around the clock to make the perfect creations for the Royals. But a four-legged interruption put their schedule on hold when a furry visitor arrived.

Bogart, a gorgeous tabby and white cat, spent the day purr-using the designs, happily receiving some well-deserved TLC. This gorgeous little man had been dumped by a skip the night before in a very un-Royal way but was thankfully rescued and will be enjoying the wedding in all its glory with Philip Treacy’s Production Manager who adopted him soon after his ordeal.

Happily ever after everyone and I hope to see some spectacularly dressed pooches out in the sunshine!
