Flirting Coach Launches On London Tubes

FlirtingSingle Londoners needing help with their flirting skills over the Christmas party season have been sent a fairy godmother this Christmas.

Jean Smith, the cultural anthropologist and author of The Flirt Interpreter: Flirting Signs From Around The World has donated 50 of her best-selling books to commuters traveling on the Central, Waterloo & City, Victoria, Jubilee, Bakerloo and District Lines.

The books were left on seats from 7am this morning by an army of singletons who have graduated from Jean’s flirting course. Not only can Londoners take the cue to ask these singletons for a date but the free books will guide them through the perils of office party small talk.

Inside the book, Jean has left a note, saying: “The tube is the first place Londoners can learn to recognise and respond to flirting signs in an appropriate way. Picking up or putting down my book for the next person in the carriage is a perfect ice breaker.”

Jean offers direct guidance on questions from “Can I approach him?” and “how can I tell if she likes me?” to ways to seduce in the supermarket.
