Men between the ages of 25 and 35 are officially the hardest people to buy gifts for, research has revealed after analysing google search term data and polling the British public.

Gift guide for men by Belle About Town

The survey of more than 2,000 people discovered that more than two thirds (69%) find Christmas shopping stressful. Only two thirds?!

In addition, half (52%) of us feel pressured into spending more money than we are comfortable with.

To gain more insight into Christmas shopping attitudes, delivery platform Shift surveyed 2,350 members of the public and analysed Google data trends. In terms of gender, they found men are the harder sex to buy for, with Brits searching Google for ‘what to buy a man’ three times more than ‘what to buy a woman’ this year.

When respondents were asked who they struggle to buy for the most, the survey results revealed that men aged between 25 and 35 years old were the most commonly identified demographic, followed by men aged 55 to 65 years old. According to the British public, girls aged between 5 and 15 years old are the easiest to buy for, with toys the most commonly bought item for children in this age group.

So Belle has come up with a few easy yet effective suggestions for gifts this Christmas guaranteed to put a smile on the face of the hardest to buy for man in your life!
