If you’re not sure how to style your mane on your big day, let us talk to you about the Blo Blow Bar. Set up by Gwyneth Paltrow and celebrity hair stylist David Babaii, their new no nonsense hair concept has become America’s latest hair trend. So successful was the concept that they have now jumped across the pond and set up shop in London.
It’s perfect timing as Blow Dry’s are having a moment in London right now. Gone are the days of stiff hairdressing and old-fashioned hair do’s, the Blo Blow bar in London is bringing fabulously undone chic to a hair salon near you. No cuts, no colour, just fabulous bouffants.
Just hair styles you cry? If you’re not convinced yet let us tell you more. Think of it as the drive through version of luxury beauty world. You pop in looking flustered and leave less than an hour later feeling fabulous and looking catwalk ready.
Belle decided to try out the service for ourselves last month. When we arrived, I was greeted by a lovely stylist who sat me down, talked me through a selection of styles, and made me feel excited about a world of hair possibilities. We eventually settled on the Holly-would style – a gorgeous do full of oomph that got me totally photo ready. The style was exactly what I wanted, and the service was perfect.
What’s more is they also have an amazing Bridal service, which they can either style at the comfort of your home/wedding venue, or you could come to the salon. Blo invite you to the salon for a fun session to go through different hairstyles, testing and tweaking until they find the ONE for your wedding day. Once you’re happy with your wedding look, the stylist finalises the look and tweaks it to suit your style.
If you would like bridesmaids to attend and have their hair done at the same time – that can be arranged too. Style-wise, Blo can do pretty much everything, they aren’t limited to their signature styles. Just show The Blo Bar an image of your dream hairstyle and they will recreate it, or they can suggest some styles that they think will suit you.
Finally, the Blo Blow Bar also hosts hen parties. The space is rented on an exclusive basis for blowdries, mani/makeup, champagne and nibbles for up to 14-16 people. Usually, these are 2-hour parties then the crowd is off to do something else, gorgeously glammed up!
