Sandra’s Secret Baby Shock – ‘I’m A Single Mum Now’

It’s been a year of phenomenal highs and lows for Sandra Bullock. Following her triumphant Best Actress Oscar win in March, the 45-year-old star’s elation was short-lived when 10 days later news of her husband’s 11-month affair with a tattoo model rocked Tinseltown.

Now, the actress has shocked fans with news she has secretly adopted a baby boy from New Orleans called Louis Bardo, now three and a half months. In an exclusive interview with US People magazine, a defiant Sandra poses happily with baby Louis, confirming she has officially filed for divorce from her TV motorbike presenter hubby Jesse James, 41. The Blind Side actress says she had no idea Jesse was having an affair and the betrayal was too much to bear. “I did the only thing I could do – pack enough clothes to live on, get all of Louis’ things and get out of town. My main concern was Louis,” she says.

Sandra and Jesse, who has three children from a previous relationship, began adoption proceeding four years ago and brought Louis home to their lake-side mansion in Austin, Texas, in January. The split has left the family in tatters and although Sandra says she hopes to continue co-parenting Jesse’s three children – Chandler, 15, Jesse Jr, 12, and Sunny, six – Jesse told the magazine: “The decision to let my wife end our marriage and continue the adoption of Louis on her own has been the hardest. The love I have for Louis cannot be put to words.”

Meanwhile, Sandra, who has never had a child, is now looking forward to bringing up baby Louis on her own, saying: “I will be adopting as a single parent. Anything else will be taken day by day… I’m just amazed with him… When I met him, I said: ‘Oh, there you are!’ It was like he had always been a part of our lives.”
