Demi Moore’s dash to Haiti
Demi Moore has been tweeting about her fleeting trip to Haiti to visit victims of the devastating January earthquake. The actress was joined by fellow A-listers Susan Sarandon, Gerard Butler, Ben Stiller and Olivia Wilde for Artists for Peace and Justice to try and raise awareness of the ongoing plight of those left injured and homeless after the quake.
The group visited St Damien’s children’s hospital in Port-au-Prince, the Haitian capital. It was here that Demi met David, a child who was injured during the quake.
“Yes he was burned and lost 3 fingers but his joyous spirit was untouched!” she said via twitter.
And David did seems to have a cheeky disposition poking his tongue out for the camera’s with Susan Sarandon and allowing Demi to swing him around.
The group also met up with Sean Penn whose own company, the Jenkins/Penn Haitian Relief Organisation, is working to bring relief to the people of Haiti.
