Paloma Faith: Truth and Beauty

This new London singer seems to be a cross between the soulful depth of voice of Amy Winehouse with the retro feel of Duffy. Her sense of performance comes from her background on burlesque and although she doesn’t quite challenge Lady Gaga for this crown, she does add a theatrical edge that is reminiscent of Dita Von Teese and adds colourful storybook visuals of the 1950s.

My glee at the return of Glee

The tongue-in-cheek school musical comedy Glee returns to E4 on Monday night. For Gleeks already obsessed with this cross between Revenge Of The Nerds and Fame, the date will already be in the diary and Glee parties will be held in women’s (and gay men’s) flats around the capital.
