New York once again kicked off the main SS15 fashion weeks last week but just what can we take from the stunning designs strutting down the runways?
There were the usual gorgeous red-carpet gowns from Badgley Mischka, Jenny Packham, Oscar De La Renta, Ralph Lauren, Reem Acra and Versus Versace. Flat shoes continue to be popular with trainers being prevalent as well as brogues. For heels, the delicate strappy sandal with ankle strap will be popular next summer. There was also a return of the obi belt to accentuate the waist and bags that match outfits were popular too. There also seemed to be a return to natural hair and make-up.
Here are the nine trends that we picked out from New York Fashion Week for Spring Summer 2015…
Bandeau tops were seen all over the catwalks whether they were over clothes, under layers or on their own. The best examples can be seen at Alexander Wang, Badgley Mischka, Diane Von Furstenberg, Donna Karan, Jill Stuart, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors.
