Beauty Trend: Peach

The latest trend inside the beauty world this summer is peach. From its coral hue, to its fruit scent – peach is everywhere. If you want to look as pretty as a peach without looking like  you’ve been tangoed (are we showing our age remembering that advert?!), then check out Belle About Town’s guide to the top must-haves.

Lips: For the perfect peachy pout, look no further than Delilah Colour Intense Cream Lipstick in Tango, £24. It is enriched with spherical polymers, which gives a lovely velvety feeling as well as a long lasting semi matte finish. It’s easy glide-on application means that the colour melts onto your lips and lasts for hours. It also contains Vitamin E, which helps to nourish and protect the lips. Best of all the shade is perfect for day or night – so you can’t really go wrong. Buy it from SpaceNK.

Highlighter: If you are looking for a subtle highlighter that leaves your skin with a gentle glow without looking like a disco ball, then try the Sunkissed Highlighter, £5. It boast 5 beautiful peach, gold and brown shades inside one pan, which blend beautifully to give a slight shimmer.  Apply a sweep of colour to the areas of your face that catch the sun – so the tops of your cheeks, t-zone and décolletage – for a healthy natural look. Each of the colours can also be used as individual eye shades, which is a great bonus. Buy it from Pretty Little Thing.

Blusher:  For an instant pop of peach try the Too Faced Love Flush Long-Lasting 16-Hour Blush, £25. The delicate peach shade is aptly named ‘I will always love you’ because you will certainly feel this way as soon as you have tried it. There are lots of reasons why this is a winner. First of all, it’s adorable heart shape means it is probably the cutest thing you will put inside your makeup bag. Secondly, the pigment-rich shade delivers a pretty pop of colour to  your cheeks. Thirdly, the  long-wear formula is enriched with buttery soft pigments that bond with your skin and take on a weightless, suspended look that lasts for up to 16 hours. This is a major plus as it means you don’t have to worry about reapplication throughout the day. Last, but not least, it also has a handy mirror in the compact so it’s easy to apply if you are on the go. Buy it from Debenhams.

Face: Cleanse and gently exfoliate your skin with the Burt’s Bees Peach and Willowbark Deep Pore Scrub, £11.49. This lovely scented scrub has been infused with willow bark to naturally remove dirt and excess oil, while the finely ground peach stone gently exfoliates, and polishes  the skins. The end result is refreshed and naturally healthy-looking skin. Best of all the face scrub is free of parabens, phthalates and petrolatum, which makes it great for those with sensitive skin. Buy it from Burt’s Bees.

Fragrance –  For the ultimate summer fragrance try L’Occitane Néroli & Orchidée Eau de Toilette, £8.50. Although this beautiful scent contains notes of peach – it will not leave you smelling fruity. It actually also blends the scents of two precious white flowers with neroli essence, which leaves you smelling of a sensuous bouquet. Best of all, the fragrance lingers delicately on the body throughout the day. The mini version, which comes in a 7.5 ml bottle, is handy to pop into your handbag and reapply when needed.
