The Last Of The Summer Fun?

BerkoFest, Seth Lakemen, Roland Rivron, The Crookes

The big festivals have come and gone calling an end to a magnificent summer of festivities (event-wise, not so much weather-wise!) but if you want to extend that festival feeling a little longer there is a new kid on the block.

Launching this Saturday is BerkoFest, designed to bring a genuine mix of quality music and comedy to people in and around the Hertfordshire/Buckinghamshire borders, and just 30 minutes on the train from central London.

Set in the stunning eight acre location of Berkhamsted Sports Club, BerkoFest will provide an array of entertainment for all. With four stages encompassing high profile acts on the main stage, a talented acoustic stage set-up, an original comedy show and an improvised ‘Open Mic’ stage performance; as well as a whole host of other attractions!

BerkoFest PosterThe inspiration to create BerkoFest is driven by a team of volunteers with a passion to bring together naturally talented musicians for the enjoyment of everyone, whilst being able to contribute monies to local organisations. Money raised will be donated to the following causes: Berkhamsted Sports Club, the Swan Youth Centre and the Rotary club. BerkoFest will be a truly worthwhile event to come and enjoy.

Not just music and comedy for entertainment, families will be very much catered for as BerkoFest has arranged an interesting mix of children’s entertainment and parent pampering. The Panic Circus will be a family-friendly, traditional (minus the animals!) circus with a varied programme of fun performances, workshops and activities.

For a relaxing time out, BerkoFest has organised a team of professional therapists who specialise in luxury treatments to indulge your mind, body and wellbeing. Ideal for some mellow space away from the hubbub of activity going on elsewhere!

The Food Fayre area will cater for a selection of tastes, with high quality food choices for everyone and there will be a fully licensed bar serviced by Berkhamsted Sports Club, as well as a selection of local ales, cocktails, along with soft and hot drink options.

This gentile affair looks set to be a special day and evening and ultimately become an annual ‘must attend event’.
