Sleek Launches Whimsical Wonderland Collection

What do scents of retro sweets and classic fairground rides have in common with makeup? They were the inspiration for the newest collection by Sleek – ‘Whimsical Wonderland’. Under the colourful neon signs of a very fitting venue Lights of Soho for their latest launch, popular high street makeup brand Sleek introduced their latest mini-collection full of pastel hues and retro fun nostalgia.

Amongst the eclectic and fashionable crowd of beauty bloggers, beauty writers and the rest of creative industry professionals mingled stunning Chloe Keenan, the latest winner of Britain’s Next Top Model and the face of Sleek’s latest campaign. Sleek’s highly pigmented eyeshadows and lipsticks is no secret to any makeup fan. The new Whimsical Wonderland collection delivers this promise, and much more.

The limited edition offers 12 gorgeous, mineral based and long-lasting eyeshadows compactly packed in their classic i-Divine eyeshadow palette playfully called ‘All The Fun Of The Fair. The cheerful hues of pastel peach, lilac or sky blue in shimmery or matte finish won’t be the only thing to bring a smile to your face. Named after classic fairground rides, you can blend Ferris Wheel with Carousel on your eyelids and Dodgems along your lower lash line.

But there’s more. Three new, scented Lip VIP Semi-Matte lipsticks – Fancy Pants, Hot Tottie and Big Shot – bring an immediate and vibrant-colour result, whether you fancy cool coral, pastel orange or sweet lilac lips to sip your cocktail with. Having tried Big Shot lipstick myself at the launch, it glided like a dream upon application. Its intense coverage power impressively transformed my naturally red lips into a gorgeous lavender ones, with only one layer. Ingredients like Shea butter, coconut oil and Vitamin E contribute to lipsticks moisturising properties and delivery truly velvety finish.

Last but not least, the collection wouldn’t feel complete without some cheeky blushers for the upcoming summer vibe. The creamy and buildable Sweet Cheeks gel blushers come in similar three colours as their lipstick counterparts but with softer finish. You can easily create a gorgeous flush with their weightless, water-based formula with a long-lasting result. The cocktails served at the collection’s launch party honoured their names: Tomfoolery, Lickety Split and Hullabaloo. Furthermore, their sweet scent takes you back to your childhood, into your favourite sweet shop. I had to restrain myself from eating them, luckily there was candy floss to tuck into instead.
