These Boots Are Made For Walking

Baby it’s cold outside but since we can’t closet ourselves inside for all of winter we need to put our best foot forward and march to work in style in the best boots the stores have to offer.

I know that it is going to be an expensive year for me in terms of boots.

There are a huge range of boot trends available this season so finding the right one for the right outfit shouldn’t be too hard. From dainty stiletto shoe boots to knee high riding boots and wool-lined boots for the promised snowy weather the hardest thing will be deciding which pair to get.

And it is not just style to consider – colour too is important. Black goes with everything, a rich brown is a classic must have and nude and grey shades and very 2010/11.

Luckily it looks like it will be a long cold winter so that I can justify the number of pairs that I am intending to buy.

Here are the picks of the boots we will saving and splurging on this winter (the ones in the picture left are Reilly £250 from Pied A Terre):

RIDING BOOTS

I love the Victorian twist to this knee length pointed leather Singh boot in Tan (£139 from Moda in Pelle). With the button and brouge detail this is ideal to add a sassy but yet sophisticated twist to your winter wardrobe.

Annabelle by UGG Australia(£300 from Kurt Geiger) is a sleek, sophisticated and fashionable design. The mid-calf boot is made using rich leather with beautiful braided leather lacing detail at the back – a far cry from traditional UGGs which I believe should not be worn outside the home!

These Montana long boots in Cognac Loire (£140 from John Lewis) are a traditional riding boots that look great worn with skirts, skinny jeans or leggings.

For a 60s retro twist on the riding boot, I love these Hobbs Sissinghurst Castle black patent boots (£225 from John Lewis). The zip at the back is a quirky touch and they are delicate enough to be paired with a pencil skirt but won’t have you slipping over in the snow.

THE SHOE BOOT

black leather and tweed, the zip-up ankle peep-toe boot with antique silver skull zipper and shearling trim is perfect for showing a bit of attitude.

Miss KG Babylon Stud (£120.from Kurt Geiger) is a suede shoe boot adorned with striking metal hardware on the upper and heel. We suggest keeping the rest of your outfit simple so all eyes are on these!

THE ANKLE BOOT
I love these grey tie side suede ankle boots (£79.99 from River Island). They look great with skinny jeans and are fabulous with a maxi dress and bomber jacket too.

These black zip ankle boots (£225 from Karen Millen) are sophistication meets rebel and therefore bang on trend. Perfect for a first date!
